Thank you so much for writing your book about weight loss with the calcium countdown. I went through an early menopause and started a slow weight gain after that. Even though I've exercised (walk a couple miles a day) for over 30 years and started weight lifting a few years ago, the pounds kept coming on.......only a couple a year (but it all adds up).
I bought your book and got a calcium compound, buffered C and potassium. The potassium is wonderful. After suffering with leg cramps all my life, it is great not to have them now. I kept a journal for the first couple of weeks, writing down everything I ate.
I might add that I was taking calcium carbonate with vitamin D for a few years now. I am 61 and not considered overweight by my doctor. But those extra 15-20 pounds were starting to zap me of energy and my clothes were not fitting like I felt they should. I am only 5' 1", so those extra pounds were more than I felt I should carry. The harder I tried to lose, the more discouraged I got. The cravings would overtake the will power. Sugar was not my craving. Fat and dark chocolate were what I craved.
After a week of taking the calcium compound, I no longer had the cravings and the pounds started to come off. I am now down a solid 10 pounds, energy level is back up and I feel great. We will see how far this goes. I would love to lose another 5 pounds, but if it doesn't happen, I am happy with the way I feel right now.
